User Profiles Support

User profiles are live on the Obby Wiki!

Set your profile picture, custom banner, social links, and more on your Obby Wiki profile now (see: Special:MyPage:).

What you see above is my profile (as of now) on the Obby Wiki. You can see that I've filled in a custom PFP (profile picture), a custom banner image, social links, a tagline, and a highlighted article I wrote. These are all things you can do right now. See it at User:Wlft:.

I wanted to use this highlight the feature-set for this extension (being IntegratedProfiles). Currently, the extension is closed source, but I'd be open to a public release if enough people are interested and wanted the features that Extension:UserProfileV2: doesn't already offer. Anyway, here are some features I want to highlight:

• Custom PFPs (obviously)
• Custom banner images, as well as 8 gradient presets (Accent (just OW themed), Ocean, Sunset, Forest, Midnight, Ember, Sand, Aurora)
• PFPs+banners are global (and would sync across wikis in a farm)
• All profile configurations are handled through preferences, requiring no database/update.php script to install the extension
  • Also, all profile configurations sync between wikis in a wiki farm thanks to GlobalPreferences, which was installed on OW a few days ago
• Integrates with NewAuth, showcasing verified connections on a user's profile (if attached)

Two features that I may be removing:

• Highlighting an article
• Linking wiki profiles (Wikimedia ID, Miraheze, Fandom)

If I see these widely used I will keep them, but otherwise they will be removed (probably within the year). I'd like to replace them with something that works better.
